PUPPY OBEDIENCE PROGRAM - UNDER 6 months old - SOLD OUT UNTIL 2025
Private Obedience PUPPY Lessons
6 hours of hands-on training. 1 hour per lesson
One slip collar is included per dog
You are invited to add on hourly individual puppy Q&A sessions before we begin obedience if you have multiple questions
Our 6-week program begins with the first lesson in our training home and starts with a solid foundation in manners at the front door (sit/stay). The second lesson is in your home so that Dianne can ring that doorbell of yours and see you succeed so that we can move on to the next lesson!
In the following weeks, you’ll continue your work in the controlled environment at Find Your Inner Dog increasing the three D’s—distance, duration and distraction. Basic obedience and manners are the most important building blocks before ever taking your pup into the world full of distractions. Add-on lessons (for example, leash reactivity) and field-trips may also be purchased after successful completion of the Basic Obedience program. All lessons are scheduled at our first meeting to ensure your completion within 60 days.
WE TEACH YOU PRIVATELY, WEEKLY. YOU DO THE DAILY REPETITION HOMEWORK (that’s why this program is less expensive than live-in training). Daily homework is critical and recommended for your success.
There is a one week period in between each lesson where you are encouraged to remain in contact with Dianne via video texting to continue working together behind the scenes to ensure your pack homework is on target. Homework will be reviewed in a relaxed fashion and any questions you have will be answered before proceeding to the next lesson to ensure success. 90 days free follow up support.
Payment is due in full at your first lesson along with a signed contract. If either of us feel we are not a good fit, you are only required to pay for the training you received at your first lesson. There are no refunds after the first lesson.
What’s Covered:
Sit/Stay/Break (helps break those nasty jumping up habits caused by excitement)
Come (recall on command)
Threshold manners (doors and kennels)
Loose leash walking (Structured Walk)
Place/Down (teaches your dog to be calm and cycle down into a state of relaxation)
OUT (release object from mouth)
Focus games
Risks in the world still apply to those dogs with vaccinations. Speak to your vet and, together, decide on your comfort level with training in our facility. Puppy shoes may also be an option for protection for non-airborne illness.
While “some” advice can be given by Dianne about nutrition, safety and raising a well-trained puppy, it’s best to read up on your dog’s breed and how to actually raise your puppy BEFORE signing up for training (and really before even getting one!). You are the parent! Your veterinarian should also be established to support you regarding feeding, appropriate elimination schedules and so on. Our program is obedience based.
Each additional dog $350. 90 days’ free follow-up provided by Dianne at no charge so long as you have kept up with your end of the training commitment.
